The Tiny Tale of Little Pea
The Tiny Tale of Little Pea tells the inspiring story of a boy who was born too small to quite fit into the world but who eventually figures out his unique talents. The book covers the activities Tiny Pea enjoys engaging in as well as the ones he seems to be just too small for. Tiny Pea himself is never discouraged, even as the adults around him worry about what will become of him, making this overall an optimistic story about what is possible rather than what is not. The only oddity in the book is that it jumps quite suddenly from Tiny Pea’s childhood to his adulthood, with no real guidance for the reader.
The illustrations are soft, mostly colored in pastels and featuring white backgrounds that allow the focus to remain on Little Pea rather than on the setting. The big world seems approachable through these friendly illustrations, and readers will have fun following the spunky Little Pea on his many adventures.
