Noah’s Noisy Night
After a busy day on the ark, Noah and Mrs. Noah are ready for bed. Noah is suddenly awoken by a commotion and finds that many of the animals cannot get to sleep. The bears are afraid of the dark and the crocodiles are fighting over the top bunk. The penguins are too hot and the giraffes are too excited. Noah finds solutions to help each of the animals fall asleep. But he needs to get to sleep, too, and it is a never-ending parade of animal mischief. Mrs. Noah finally steps in to help everyone go back to sleep.
How did Noah sleep with all those animals on board? Author Maria Correa gives children a new perspective on the classic Noah’s Ark story, including giving the wife of the famous man agency to solve the problem. The story’s momentum builds with each animal pair until the reader is as exhausted as Noah. An ideal bedtime story for the child who has trouble sleeping. Illustrator Sebastien Braun gives readers a beautifully drawn book with a playful take on all the animal characters. His crocodile roller skates and penguin scuba gear details update the story for the modern reader.
