Disney Frozen: A Year with Elsa & Anna (and Olaf, Too!) (Replica Journal)
Marie, the daughter of a bell maker, is a life-long student of the Kingdom of Arendelle. When Marie’s father is hired by the kingdom to make a bell for them, Marie is able to spend a year there and creates a journal to remember her time there. This becomes part tour guide, part historical document, and part picture album for the young who are still fascinated by Frozen, the popular musical movie.
Young readers will discover fun traditions in the kingdom such as Annual Arendelle Harvest Festival and Feast and the Spring Flower Show and the Ice Games. They will find out how Queen Elsa and Princess Anna spend their birthdays and even get a recipe for one of Elsa’s favorites, krumcake. There are several pieces that explain things like troll-sitting and how to make sand angels as part of a perfect summer day with the information coming from Olaf and other characters from the film.
The illustrations are sweet and fun, as would be expected from Disney, and the writing sounds as if it were written by a very smart, enthusiastic young girl. Frozen fans will love every page.
