Born to Be Wilde: The Wildes of Lindow Castle
Born to Be Wilde is the story of Lavinia Gray and Parth Sterling. Their relationship borders on a love/hate manifesto. Miss Gray is in dire need of money—and a rich husband for unforeseen circumstances that have put her in a bender. When Lavinia asks Parth to wed her, he flat out refuses her. She’s not only reckless but spends her money on frivolous things such as bonnets. What Parth doesn’t know is that Lavinia’s situation is a bit more complex than that. It was lovely seeing the interaction between the main characters because you can clearly tell they care more for one another than they let on. Eloisa James crafts such a beautiful tale of two people in need of some good ole’ fashioned love, trust, and off the charts chemistry. There were times when I wanted to her Parth upside his head for being such a bonehead about Lavinia. I shouldn’t have worried though; Lavinia was anything but a pushover. If you’re a fan of Lisa Kleypas’s Wallflower series, then James’s books about the Wilde family are perfect for you!
