Take Your Breath Away: A Novel

Another fantastic suspense novel from Linwood Barclay, Take Your Breath Away will have its readers trying to figure out who is behind the disappearance of victim Brie Mason. Brie is home alone while her husband Andrew is at their cabin in the woods with his best friend Greg. By the time Andrew gets home, Brie is gone without a trace. As the spouse, Andrew is immediately thought of as the number one suspect in her disappearance.

Fast forward six years later and it seems as if Brie is back. A woman carrying groceries goes to the Mason’s old property and freaks out when she sees that it is a different house on the property. This woman is spotted again later from afar when Brie’s siblings are at the hospital with their mother who is dying. Is Brie back and if so, where has she been for the past six years?

This book had me guessing the whole way through. I love how Barclay develops his characters along the way so the reader can really step into their shoes to see what they see and feel what they feel. I could not stop reading this book once I picked it up. Perfect for fans of Harlan Coben and Chevy Stevens.
