Strangers We Know
Ivy Hon is struggling with a mysterious illness. She knows she’s adopted, but knows nothing about her birth parents, so she takes a genetic test to identify the cause. The results of the test end up drawing the attention of the FBI, because according to the test, Ivy is related to the Full Moon Killer who has been killing near Rock Island, Washington since the late eighties. The test also connects Ivy to her birth family who live in that area, so she decides to visit to get some answers. These Strangers We Know have more secrets than Ivy can fathom and she’s not sure what she fears more, finding out the cause of her illness or that she’s related to a serial killer.
The plotline for this story was definitely different from most things out there and things turn out quite a bit different than the summary hints at. I found that it didn’t make a lot of sense with some of the storylines becoming a bit convoluted and not matching up with timelines. It was ok if you need something to read, but there are much better mysteries out there. I wouldn’t recommend this one.
