Where Did They Film That? Italy: Famous Film Scenes and Their Italian Locations
If you were to ask me what is one country that I would love to visit, my immediate answer would be Italy. Who wouldn’t love to visit Italy? This country is synonymous with food, fashion, culture, and history. With a country known for it’s rich and vibrant culture naturally lots of famous movies would be filmed in this beloved country. And wouldn’t want you want to know where those film sites are located and the surrounding areas of those film sites?Romina Arena, a celebrated Italian opera star gives readers the full inside scoop on the real Italy. So if you want to know where did they film Eat Pray Love, Casino Royale, Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade, The Merchant of Venice and so many other films, then this quick guide book is what you need. Ms. Arena breaks this book into several sections based on famous cities known in Italy. So if you just want to stick your vacation plans to Rome only, then there is a plethora of information Ms Arena provides. She will list down what are the must see sites that you must visit and of course where to eat. What I especially love about this book is the Traveler’s Tip. I love getting a tip from a real local especially when it comes to being money savvy. For example, when you are in Rome she advises visitors to hop on Bus 64 and it will take you around the city from the Colosseum to the Pantheon for an inexpensive price. These tips are the best especially you want to travel smart. So if you are looking for a great visitor guide that will provide a wide array of tips, information, and travel details then I highly suggest you to read Where Did They Film That?. And of course, an added bonus of knowing where they filmed a particular movie scene.
Chris Hayden has been working at City Book Review since 2012, so that makes him the keeper of knowledge. He manages the office and book reviewers (all 200 of them!), which is no small feat. If you’re looking at the book reviews here, you’re seeing them because he sent the books out for review. Without him, this place would fall apart, because no one else in the office knows how to use the postage machine. Two words: job security.
