The Governess Game: Girl Meets Duke

The Governess Game is indeed one of the best books I’ve read this year. Why? Well, for one, it’s Tessa Dare—she writes the most romantic books out there. Plus, her heroines aren’t lame or weak; they’ve got backbone and don’t take any kind of mess from anyone. Alexandra stumbles upon a job she didn’t even know she needed in the first place—tackling the job of being the governess to two rambunctious and mischievous orphans. Orphans that just so happen to live with Chase Reynaud—the heir to dukedom. He’s also a notorious rake. But the moment Chase lands eyes on Alex, he wants her. The two have insane chemistry and it’s not long before the two can’t hold back their feelings anymore. What I truly loved about the book was the kids; who had a hard time trusting and were guarded because of it. Alexandra as an accidental governess did a great job with brining the girls our of their shells. In the end, I was left feeling satisfied but wanting more. Especially since the next book is going to be one of Alex’s friend’s stories! Fans of Dare and historical romance will devour this sexy story filled with so much heart.
