I was thrilled by the opportunity to read and review this novel. Award-winning journalist and writer Hank Phillippi Ryan masterfully spins a tale of mystery and suspense. I found that the suspense in this one builds slowly but then makes it impossible to put down. This is an example of a first-person viewpoint done right. Sometimes it’s hard to keep up with stories written in the first person, but I had no problem following along. The twists and turns and lots of red herrings kept me guessing and the big reveal does not disappoint. I loved the character development, no one is quite what they seem in this one. I would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys mystery thrillers. I look forward to reading the other novels by this author.
