Winning Customer Love: The Focus of a Business Makes All the Difference

We rated this book:

Winning Customer Love: The Focus of a Business Makes All the Difference explores exactly what it says: changing the focus of your business to create customer love for said business.

Simple, right? Not exactly.

But author Jim Buchanan walks you through it all: the whys and wherefores, and even includes at the end of each chapter a list of things to consider, helping guide business owners toward new ways to think about their brand, product, or service. He argues that the best promotion you can buy is free, that is, word of mouth recommendation by satisfied customers.

Winning Customer Love is an interesting book that definitely raises some good ideas regarding new approaches to business. This short read takes a fresh look at marketing and while it’s not the only resource you’ll need, it raises some very good food for thought about how to conceive of and organize your business in ways that will have your customers happily raving, all by simply changing the focus of the business using concepts such as empathy, generosity, and gratitude.

Chris Hayden been working at City Book Review since 2012, so that makes him the keeper of knowledge. He manages the office and book reviewers (all 200 of them!), which is no small feat. If you’re looking at the book reviews here, you’re seeing them because he sent the books out for review. Without him, this place would fall apart, because no one else in the office knows how to use the postage machine. Two words: job security.
