Wicked Heart
A stage production of The Taming of the Shrew brings Elissa, a stage manager, and Liam, Hollywood’s biggest heartthrob, together for the first time in six years. When Liam left New York bound for L.A., the former construction worker had stars in his eyes and Elissa in his heart, but Elissa has a strict “no actors” policy when it comes to dating. She nearly makes an exception for him when he turns out to be just like all the actors she has dated, casting her aside as they land their claims to fame. But things aren’t always what they seem and the attraction between the two is still very much alive, but is Elissa willing to put her heart on the line one more time?
Once again Rayven manages to create a tale of overcoming heartbreak in this classic second chance romance. Told from Elissa’s point of view, a bulk of the story is flashbacks from their past, which are woven seamlessly with the events of the present. Wicked Heart is one of those books you can easily get lost in. Complex characters paired with a storyline that runs the emotional gamut results in a five star read.
