Meg Russo is not a stranger to people harassing her family. Her father was a musician who people claimed was a Satanist who made child sacrifices. Meg herself wrote a book when she was fifteen that people believe predicts the apocalypse, which will occur on December 12, 2022. This group calls themselves the Nines and Tens, and as the date approaches, they are increasing their threatening behavior with messages of We Are Watching. After the death of her husband in a car accident that is looking more and more like it was on purpose, Meg decides to take things into her own hands to put a stop to the insanity and save what’s left of her family.

I didn’t particularly enjoy the author’s writing style, and getting involved with the characters was hard. The sad thing about the whole book is that in this day and age, with the immediate jump to conspiracies about everything, I don’t think this plot is that unbelievable. The internet really gives people more power than they should have, increasing the mob mentality. If you enjoy dark thrillers or Gaylin’s other works, then this book is for you.
