Waking Amy
Amy Whitfield is utterly surprised when she finds a “Dear John” letter by her husband Wesley on a day when she decides to spice up their very dull married life. She is even more surprised with a call from a hospital, informing her that her husband is in a coma. The call came a few moments after reading the letter. Fortunately, Amy sees this as a great opportunity to start a new with her husband, but she does not have a clue how to seduce him. So she asks for help from her husband’s doctor Mark Reilly. But will she succeed or will she realize a thing or two about the quality of her marriage?
Waking Amy is a funny and sweet novel about second chances in life. It focuses on Amy’s life and her struggle to cope with changes, passion and finding her true self. There were moments when I thought that Amy is the clueless person in the world, but once she starts to realize what is wrong with her life and marriage she became a truly amazing and lovable character. Doctor Mark Reilly is Amy’s exact opposite and exactly what she needs in life. He is a non-committer with a cause, but also a good guy. The chemistry between Amy and Mark is palpable, and I enjoyed reading about their path to happiness.
If you like fast paced stories with amazing totally opposite characters and full of funny situation read Waking Amy.
