As someone who loves a good self-help business book, I was excited to pick up a copy of Matt McWilliams’ new book Turn Your Passions into Profits. But as I started reading it, I felt that it was just another book repeating things that every other self-help business guru was putting out there. Things like “Clarify Who You Help,” “Be one step ahead of your followers,” and “Find Your Superpowers” has been said and done before. It wasn’t until I reached a little past the midpoint of the book that I saw some great value in what Matt was giving his readers. Tips like “don’t send your posts in email,” how to use affiliate marketing with even a small email list, how to copywrite effectively, and the best section, in my opinion—”How to Create More Content.” Matt also gives a good amount of tools that entrepreneurs can use, most of them being free. The last chapter, “This is Not the End,” sums up each of the ten steps given in the book on how to turn your own passion into a moneymaker. This is a great guide for anyone who doesn’t know where to start when wanting to create a business plan.
