Troublemaker: A Novel
Troublemaker by Linda Howard is an amazing read. It’s hot, addictive, and suspenseful with a powerfully written storyline that swept me off my feet and kept me hooked on every word. The emotional journey the characters underwent blew me away. The danger is practically tangible, secrets are being kept, and the chemistry is explosive. Troublemaker is indeed just as the title insinuates: sexy agent Morgan walks into Bo’s life, bringing trouble to her small town. His looks and mannerisms have her mesmerized, but a secret he’s keeping has her on edge. Bo, a part-time police chief, senses something dark about the stranger. Morgan is tempted by the strong, beautiful woman who he’ll be staying with, despite his attempts to lay low after a job gone wrong has turned him into prey. Someone is after his team and until the culprit is found his only objective is to stay out of trouble. Every page brings a blend of raw desire and fear. This romantic thriller focuses on Bo and Morgan’s relationship as the mystery surrounding Morgan’s team comes to a head. The female officer isn’t sure of which to be more afraid of – losing her heart to Morgan or the chaos he may bring to her small town. Linda Howard’s writing is superb. I have never found any of her novels to be less than brilliant. Her characters are believable and the scenes are realistically done. Overall, I highly recommend Troublemaker to readers everywhere.
