There’s a Dragon in my Popcorn
Eric and his friends are seeing a movie. He decided to bring Pan, his mini-dragon, along, hidden in the popcorn. However, Pan is terrible about keeping quiet. After the movie, Eric’s mom tells him about a short movie contest. Eric convinces his friends to act in his movie. Everything is going fine until Eric makes a deal with Toby. Will Eric get to make the movie he wants or get to make the movie Toby decides to make?
The illustrations are great in this book. I love Pan, the kids, and the fun characters of Eric’s parents. My favorite character drawings are Toby and Miss Biggs; their hair is just amazing.
The text is great! The story is perfect for an early chapter book! I appreciate the plot being simple but having a realistic antagonist, and parents that encourage Eric to go for his dreams even when things get messed up. The climax at the end is just sweet justice.
My seven-year-old choose this book for the title. He loved the illustrations in the book and even read some of the book to himself. I know he loves this one.
