The Wrong Daughter

This is the first Dandy Smith book I have read and I truly enjoyed it from cover to cover. What I apquepreciated most about this book was how the author created two completely separate stories and then meshed them together in the end with a surprise twist. This was expertly done and I found myself turning the pages even quicker than I normally would just to find out how the two stories were related.

In one story, a young girl is kidnapped and her younger sister must go through life with the guilt that she did not call the police after witnessing the abduction. Many years later, a woman arrives saying that she is the abducted sister. But is she?

The second story is a about a brother and sister who have somewhat of an incestuous relationship. They are being cared for by their uncle who also has questionable morals. There is some violence when it comes to this storyline but it is just the right amount to make the story suspenseful.

This book was a fantastic read and I would recommend it to fans of BA Paris and Lisa Jewell.
