The Outlaws Scarlett and Browne
After a successful bank robbery, Scarlett is on the run. It’s nothing that she is not used to. But just when she thinks she’s in the clear, Scarlett runs into the naive, useless Albert, who has his own reasons to run. Scarlett can’t bring herself to leave him behind, no matter how much trouble he gets her into. Between bank robberies, grumpy sailors, and danger at their heels they forage an unlikely alliance that could get them killed.
With a hint of the Wild West, zombies, and a post apocalypse world, The Outlaws Scarlett and Browne is a wild tale from the first page. The characters, though, are lacking and I found much of the story predictable, but that’s because a lot of hints are dropped. It’s a fast-paced story, however, I couldn’t read it in one sitting until the middle of the book where I really began to get dragged into the story. This is the first book in the series, so there are questions left unanswered and the promise of more adventures to come.
