The No-Show
Three women are stood up on Valentine’s Day, all of them by the same man. Jane, Siobhan, and Miranda have become involved with the perfect man, but how can he be in three places at once? The No-Show is Beth O’Leary’s latest novel, which dives deep into three relationships. It follows Jane, Siobhan, and Miranda as they deal with the allure and disappointment of the mysterious Joseph Carter.
I am a big fan of Beth O’Leary’s books, and The No-Show is no exception. She has a gift for delivering a layered plot that slowly unravels into an unputdownable story. Each protagonist was delightful to follow, and I found myself getting swept up in Joseph’s grand gestures while also hating him for deceiving each woman.
However, as the story progressed, it took a direction that I did not expect at all and I had to know how it all would end. The story has humor, resilience, and heart, while also delicately handling the mental health challenges of the characters. I highly recommend this book!
