The Jonas Trust Deception & Orange Moon Affair

We rated this book:

Thomas Gunn takes over the family company after the murder of his father, but soon realizes there is something very dark going on, so he sets out to find out what is happening.

This was an enjoyable thriller; you need to pay attention to it or you might get a little lost. It jumps occasionally, to give some background information, which could be better structured. There is plenty of international travel using some great means of transport, expensive cars and planes, a lavish lifestyle, but there is a very dark background that Thomas and Julie soon learn about and they then try to find out what is going on with the company. I really enjoyed this part. There are some great moments, with thrills and wonderful unexpected twists. I also enjoyed this, and they surprised me. Full of action, international travel, corporate excitement, and plenty of murder. The storyline seems a little strained, as the main character is constantly deciding to get into trouble, which also puts his loved ones in the firing line. The ending is tied up enough, but leaves the idea that there is a sequel.

Which brings me to The Jonas Trust Deception, the second in the series; same characters, same writing style, with some more background flashbacks—mainly of Thomas Gunn. This book is all about Thomas following up on what was not finished in the first book—equally fast-paced, plenty of travel, mystery and murder. Surprises galore, which kept me reading to find out what was going to happen next. A couple of times I thought I might be near the end, but no, it kept on going, which was a good thing, as I didn´t want it to finish. These are fast-paced books that you won´t want to put down and you won´t want them to finish.

You can´t read The Jonas Trust Deception on its own; you need to have previously read the Orange Moon Affair.
