The Infinity of You & Me: A Novel
Alicia is getting worse. Her hallucinations are coming more frequently and their content is more realistic and intense. The last thing she wants is to cause her single mother any more problems, but she just can’t control it. Sometimes she thinks it would best if she could just disappear into those false worlds for good. When her long absent father shows up on her fifteenth birthday and tells her she’s a spandrel, she realizes that everyone has been lying to her. It’s up to her to take control of her “hallucinations” and help her father with a very dangerous yet exciting task.
This book is a non-stop page turner. Alicia is a very likable character, along with her best friend, Hafeez, whose incredible problems are well illustrated and richly imagined. J. Q. Coyle has created an exciting world with lots of possibilities. Although the book has a satisfying ending, there is a possibility for a sequel, which I hope will happen. I can’t wait to explore more of the world of the spandrels and see what worlds Alicia will travel to next. This is a fantastic addition in alternate-reality books.
