The Heiress of Santorini (The Greek Isles Series) (Volume 3)
This third novel in The Greek Isles Series by Angel Sefer was very daring, dashed with forbidden romances and served with a great amount of hatred, revenge, and regrets. In The Heiress of Santorini, Alexandra, a manager in an insurance agency, lives far away from her birthplace of Santorini, after her mother took the family away from Greece and vowed never to return. Now her grandfather has had several attempts on his life and Alexandra is tricked into leaving New York and going to Santorini where she will be face to face with her Grandfather Alexandros, several murders, threats on her life, and a mysterious business associate who she fall desperately in love with. Sefer entertains the readers with a series of entanglements that gives the novel a chilly air of suspense. She shocks the readers with the cruelty of the acts of violence that occur within supposedly bold Greek families where pride, tradition, and legacy is revered. The message on forgiveness and maintaining strong family bonds despite conflict and tragedy is what really makes the novel spectacular and heartwarming.
