The Fall of Iris Henley

Iris Henley’s life seemed pretty perfect until six months ago, when her boyfriend supposedly murdered her best friend before killing himself. Iris hadn’t even known they were together when that bombshell was dropped on her. Her life is just starting to get back to normal when someone posts online that Iris is the one who killed them. It doesn’t take long for the whole school to turn against her, loving The Fall of Iris Henley. When the police reopen the investigation, Iris knows she needs to find out who really did it, if she ever hopes to clear her name.

If you love Veronica Mars as much as I do, you will love this book. You can’t help but see the similarities between Iris and Veronica. This story was also a wonderful example of how it doesn’t take much to ruin people’s lives these days. Post something online and watch the fallout. No one needs evidence anymore, just public opinion, to convict someone. It would be nice if people would consider how it would make other people feel or if it’s even true before commenting, but that would probably take a Christmas miracle.
