The Complete Stories of Philip K. Dick: Volume 5, We Can Remember It For You Wholesale (1963-1981)
Philip K. Dick is one of science fiction’s masters. Among the great science fiction authors, he is in the top five of most people’s lists, including mine. While his work tends to be overshadowed by many of his peers who were writing at the same time, Philip K. Dick wrote many iconic stories that are still with us today, and still relevant many years later. This is the final collection of the short stories of Philip K. Dick, leading up to the final one he wrote before he died. They are all in his traditional style, with evocative themes, strange circumstances, and the world not being what we think it is all the time. His writing is still powerful after all of these years, and it is easy to see why he is still one of the masters.
Many people will recognize his stories if they have read other collections, but this is definitely for fans of science fiction; they will want this as part of their collection. Like any science fiction author from this time period, one or two of his stories seem a little dated, but the rest are still excellent reads.
