The Children of D’Hara

Picking up almost exactly where Warheart, the last novel in the main series, left off, The Children of D’Hara continues the story of Richard and Kahlan and their children. Yes, Richard FINALLY gets to be alone with Kahlan, at least long enough for there to be children, but the peace they’ve found will be short-lived if they fail to defeat their latest terrifying enemy.

Originally released in five installments between 2019 and 2020, The Children of D’Hara compiles the story into one surprisingly quick read. The late Terry Goodkind’s unique style and incredible worldbuilding are delivered with his usual skill, and he plumbs the human psyche for incredible and complex tales. He was not afraid to pit his characters against their greatest fears, and this book is no exception. Yet, even as the characters suffer, they rise above it and find greatness, offering a grand display of the triumph of the human spirit.

Filled with Mord-Sith, magic, and monsters, The Children of D’Hara will be the final Richard and Kahlan book released, as Terry Goodkind sadly passed away in 2020.
