The Art of Thief
Garret. The gritty Steampunk of stealth Robin Hood from a place shrouded in darkness. He is everyone’s and no one’s hero and is reborn again in this conceptual game art book by Titan Books, a publisher notorious for their five-star game and movie art books. With surreal graphic rendering, this game is brought to new levels of realism as page after page we are introduced to this newly redesigned master of thieves. From his black cowl to his leather attire and black painted nails, you will find Garret’s concept art and character sheets intriguing and some of the best included in a sequential art book. From his bow and arrows, grappling hook sheathed on his right thigh, and his nimble thieving fingers, his story is built upon a unique storyline surely to enthrall all players who undertake the game. The other characters are almost macabre in nature, and to add the mystique of the world as well as the chapter devoted to the game’s loot, puzzles, and props that just the right amount of detail. If this book doesn’t make you want to play the game, and the game doesn’t make you want to read the book, you are probably in the genre and should just move along. Everyone else, this is a must have.
