Superhero vs. School

A superhero kid is always ready for anything, monster bus, mutant buildings, and evil books. But what happens when he faces his first day of school?

I love the text so much! It reads just like a narrator talking about a superhero. I read it to my kids in that deep narrator’s voice. The story feels like I am in an epic superhero story. I love the comparison pictures of reality and what is happening in the boy’s head. The comic book style is spectacular. I love the bright colors and creative monsters. I think the conflict of conquering the first day of school is an awesome idea.

My kids, ages three and six, love this book. They think the superhero pictures are especially fun. They asked to read this book at least three times. My kids both love the page with the kids conquering the monsters together. My son took the book to his room immediately, I had to borrow to book back from him so I could review it. I recommend this for children ages three to eight.
