Stories Of An Awkward Size
Jonathon Swords-Holdsworth’s Stories of an Awkward Size is a collection of short fantasy stories. At first, I thought Stories of an Awkward Size was just a cool title, but then I realized it’s pretty accurate. The stories too short to be stand-alone books, but they’re longer than short stories usually are. Stories of an Awkward Size has five stories. The first is just over one hundred pages, while the last story is several hundred pages. I don’t have any complaints over the length of the stories though. I think Jonathon Swords-Holdsworth has a lot of talent. The stories were well written, and I couldn’t put them down. My only real complaint is the characters. They weren’t as developed as I would have liked. They didn’t quite feel real to me.
Despite that little hiccup, Stories of an Awkward Size is perfect for fantasy fans, who don’t have time to read a giant book or series of books (or those of us who get sick of waiting for the author to finish writing the next book). I enjoyed reading Stories of an Awkward Size.
