Seven Stones to Stand or Fall: A Collection of Outlander Fiction

Master Raymond, a young Jamie Frasier and Ian Murray in France, zombies, a WWII spitfire gone missing, Jamie Frasier’s OTHER nephew, forgery, burglary and other shenanigans, and a brief appearance by an electric eel–is there anything else you need to know to want to read Diana Gabaldon’s latest release, Seven Stones to Stand or Fall?

While this might not be one of the “Big, Enormous Books” featuring Jamie and Claire that make up the main series, if you love Gabaldon’s witty storytelling ability, this might be enough to get you over the hump until the next one comes out.

Or at least ease the pain when the Starz series concludes for the season.

Stones features seven pieces of short fiction (remember, this is Diana Gabaldon “short,” which means relatively long for most authors) that follow various characters of the Outlander novels through various Quagmires and Predicaments. It’s the next best thing to one of the Big Books and almost feels like a peek inside the lives of other characters, spying on what everyone else has been up to while Jamie and Claire are out of the house. If you’re an Outlander fan, this is not a collection to miss.
