Secrets of Attraction
Madison Pryce has a plan: She’s working on her art portfolio and hoping that her grades will be high enough to earn a scholarship for the summer art program she dreams of. But not everything in her life is perfect; her boyfriend, Zach, feels more deeply about their relationship than she does. And then there’s the bombshell her mother drops on her. Life is getting complicated.
Jesse McMann, meanwhile, is still trying to go on with life after losing both his girlfriend and the drummer of his band. He feels stuck, uninterested in music and unable to move on. The new drummer they finally acquire is dating Maddie’s best friend, and it’s not very long before Jess and Maddie begin to fall for each other. Life is only getting more complicated.
For readers looking for a sweet teen romance, The Secrets of Attraction is a great choice. This book is relatively light reading that still manages to touch on deeper topics, like trust and secrets, which keep readers engaged and emotionally invested in the outcome. The narrative switches back and forth between the two main characters, which gives readers a chance to better understand the motives of each. A fun book to get lost in.
