Sage Alexander and the Hall of Nightmares
Sage Alexander has been told his whole that he has a destiny to one day destroy the Seven Princes of Hell: Greed, Sloth, Envy, Gluttony, Lust, Wrath, and Pride. His guardian tells him of the Council members who have been abducted without a trace. Sage has fought his calling for years, until one day Clarity allows him to see that Greed has taken ahold of his father and is transforming him into a monster. With time running out and his plea for help ignored, Sage embarks on a quest to save the missing members in order to gain their help to kill the Prince who has his father.
Sage is a normal teenager with insecurities and struggles at home, who also happens to have lots of pressure to fulfill his destiny to save the world. This is a coming-of-age story of a hero’s quest as he fights temptation and discovers what it means to be truly heroic.
Sage Alexander is well-researched and humorous, with an array of well-rounded characters. Steve Copling plays delightfully with myths and history, creating a vast world of literature, knowledge, and belief. This novel was perfect for my geeky side!
