Pet Cam: The World Through the Lens of Our Four-Legged Friends
Pet owners often wonder what their pets see during their adventures and what they do. Photographer Chris Keeney in PetCam did something about it. He attached tiny cameras to various pets and invited others to do the same. The cameras were set to take photos at regular intervals (minutes) to record the views by the pets. Eventually, he collected acceptable sets of photographs by sixteen different creatures to publish this small-format hardback edition. The photographers include dogs, cats, cows, chickens, a pig, a goat, a guinea pig, and two potbellied pigs. The skill of these photographers varied a lot, some were much better than others presenting as many as thirteen good shots; others were less skilled with few acceptable pictures. But they are all great. Each photographer has an introduction of a few sentences, and many photos have brief captions. These are all worthwhile to read as Keeney’s humor is superb and you can’t help laughing out loud while reading some of them. These commentaries are as if the animals spoke. The book ends with several pages of tips and resources, including available equipment as pet cameras. Though small in stature, this book is perfect on the coffee table.
