Paranoia (movie tie-in edition)

When Adam pulled what seemed like a harmless little trick at work – throwing a lavish retirement party for a coworker with company money – he had no idea that the consequences could be so dire. Now his boss offers him two options: face charges for embezzlement, or go undercover at a rival tech firm to find details on a big project in the works. And so Adam becomes a spy, and soon he is making big money and driving a fancy car, not to mention a smart and sexy girlfriend. But when his conscience starts to get the better of him, will he be able to end the game before someone gets hurt?

Joseph Finder’s novel Paranoia is a novelization of the recent movie, and will keep you on the edge of your seat. It’s admittedly a bit hard to sympathize with Adam, a self-described slacker, and it is hard to read about him betraying the new boss who believes in him. As the pace picks up to a somewhat shocking conclusion, you won’t want to put this one down!
