One Kiss More (A US Marshals Novel)
Emma Ruiz finds herself between a rock and a hard place. Her father, arrested for a crime she does not believe he committed, is MIA and the U.S. Marshals believe that she knows where he is. Landon McCabe, the marshal who arrested her father, in particular is keeping a close eye on her, and Emma is not sure if she will be able to keep her secrets that could lead to her father to herself any longer.
When I began to read this book I was not sure that I would be able to finish it because it is a bit slow, but boy am I glad I powered through. About a third of the way into the book I started to enjoy it. I believe that my initial hesitation with the book was that I was not connected to either the heroine or the hero. Emma was initially painted as a spoiled socialite, and though that is the mask she wears for the media, she is actually sensitive and likable. Landon is basically that rich marshal who is kind of a mystery.
Though this wasn’t the best book that I have ever read, I am looking forward to the third installment in this series.
