Jane Sinner needs to start over, a reset button if you will. Like many high school kids, she needs a re-do, somewhere that people won’t know her or her past, so she enrolls in the local community college. While registering, she finds a flyer for a reality show, House of Orange, advertising for participants. She applies and gets in, sharing a house with five other people, plus cameras and cameramen and the producer, Alexander Park. Because of her ongoing depression and what happened in high school, she hasn’t really felt much, but this reality show has given her motivation to try living and to just maybe win.

Readers who enjoyed Waste of Space by Gina Damico will enjoy this one, though this one is more down to earth. Jane is a struggling heroine with a sharp wit and a hidden drive. The quick and witty dialogue inspire many bouts of laughter, and her determination is an inspiration in the face of adversity. The surprise ending makes this story more real and honest, seeming more about winning at life than winning at a game. Inspirational but fun, this one will remain long after the last page is turned.
