Missing and Endangered: A Brady Novel of Suspense
In Missing and Endangered, the latest installment in the Joanna Brady series by J.A. Jance, Joanna is dealing with an officer-involved shooting that turns out to be incredibly complicated as well as helping her daughter, Jenny, deal with her new college roommate who becomes the victim of sextortion. Joanna’s already understaffed when her officer is put in the hospital following the shoot-out and it’s Christmas, so she struggles to help her daughter, take care of the rest of her family, complete her day-to-day tasks as sheriff, and help the kids that are left alone in the aftermath of the shooting. But over the last decade, Joanna has learned that she’s a lot more capable than she thinks and that she has a great support system. She knows it won’t be easy, but she’ll get it done.
This is book twenty-one in the series and I’m not entirely sure if I’ve read all of them, so there were some things that I felt like I missed out on, but overall, it was easy to follow even if you just jump in now. If you enjoy police procedurals with a strong female lead, then I recommend you check out this series.
