Love, Escargot

Your favorite French snail, Escargot, is back, and this time she is heading to a party. It’s Snailentine’s Day, a time to celebrate love, and Escargot is getting all dolled up. With her fancy beret and a dashing bowtie, she’s going to attend the party to meet other snails in hopes of meeting a snailentine. There will be lots of dancing, scrumptious crudités, and mouth-watering canapés. C’est magnifique!

Like the previous two Escargot books, this third installment is just as cute. The art in this picture book series is just super adorable. I mean, it’s hard to make snails and snail slime cute, but the illustrator does a phenomenal job at making Escargot so lovable. I like the part about the cute little nickname that a loved one would give you. Ma puce does sound a lot cuter than my flea as a nickname. I have a kid who loves snails, and she absolutely loved this book. I highly recommend this book to snail fans and to anyone looking for a super cute book about a French snail.
