Live and Let Grind

Live and Let Grind is the story about a woman named Lana who owns a coffee shop on the island of Devil’s Beach, Florida, with her dad. She lives with her dad, best friend Erica, and adorable Shih-Tzu pup Stanley. One day, there is an altercation between Erica and their neighbor Gus. Gus is adamant about using his lawn blower several times a day, and his neighbors are all tired of the loud noise it makes. Shortly after the altercation, Gus turns up dead at his house. The police chief, Noah Garcia, is on the case, but Lana feels that since her best friend is a prime suspect, she should do everything she can to prove Erica is innocent.

Live and Let Grind is a cozy mystery book set in a small town where everyone knows everyone. The characters are vivid and delightful, some more than others. Gus’s ex-wife is a 70s-style Instafamous roller girl named Honey. Lana takes lessons to get some information on their relationship and ends up having so much fun. A fun and entertaining read for lovers of coffee shop mysteries.
