Kill All Angels
When you’re on the run from goons made of tar, soulless Hollywood B-listers, their faceless minions, and the horrific bursts of light that create these evil beings, you probably think life can’t get any weirder. But for aging punk Carey, stuntwoman Kaitlyn, and improv-pro Jackie, life just got weirder. Because Kaitlyn is becoming something inhuman, but she might just be the weapon they need to stop all those monsters once and for all. If they don’t all end up dead first.
Kill All Angels is the balls-to-the-wall finale of Brockway’s punk-fueled, monster-laced, hilarious Vicious Circuit trilogy, and unlike most trilogies, he’s saved the best for last. This book is somehow funnier, crazier, and more enthralling than the previous two installments, adding wonderful depth to all three protagonists while managing to keep the readers on their toes with unexpected twists and a few peculiar new characters. And even with the endgame in sight, the journey never feels easy or telegraphed.
Rarely is horror this funny or comedy this engrossing (and gross). I don’t know what Brockway will come up with next, but I guarantee you, I will be there to read it.
