How to Meet Boys
Lucy and Mikayla are ready for an amazing summer. They’re moving up to Bridgeport, where Lucy’s grandparents live, and where they have a rent-free cabin and jobs waiting for them. When shy Mikayla meets a cute guy, it seems like this will truly be a summer to let loose. But then she discovers that Jackson is the boy who broke Lucy’s heart three years ago… and while Lucy claims to be okay with it, their friendship quickly becomes strained. Can best friends survive an irresistible romance? What happened to the best summer ever?
How to Meet Boys is one of those novels that you already know will turn out a happy ending for all parties involved, but you still enjoy reading every page to get to that happy ending. Catherine Clark has written a cute story narrated by characters that readers (especially teenage girls) will identify with, dealing with problems that crop up in real life. The small lake town setting is cute and realistic, and the rest of the cast of characters is colorful, sure to remind you of people you know in real life. This is a cute summer read.
