Go Find Daddy

Ed Runyon, a private investigator and former cop, is hired by the wife of Donny Blackmon, a blogger who makes no secret of his hatred for cops. Blackmon is accused of killing a local cop. His wife wants Ed to find Donny and give him a letter. Ed has no intention of taking the case, but Blackmon’s wife tells Ed that she and Donny’s daughter, Cassie, has cancer, and Donny doesn’t know it. Then Cassie asks Ed to “Go find Daddy,” Ed can’t turn her down. There is a big reward, and Ed isn’t the only one looking. Many want Donny dead, and many are willing to kill to protect him. Ed figures out some things that no one else has, and it changes everything.||Steve Goble has written a real page-turner with a great cast of well-rounded, believable, and interesting characters. There is plenty of action and some interesting twists and turns, along with a few red herrings, to keep readers guessing the whole way through. Ed Runyon is a smart guy but makes some bone-headed decisions that are real head-scratchers. The writing is solid, and the dialogue is realistic. Hopefully, there will be more Ed Runyon stories coming.
