Forgotten
A young woman wakes up in a Thai hospital with no memory of how she got there or who she is. The staff at the hospital nickname her Kai, the Thai word for fever, and give her the belongings she was found with, which include a journal. She starts reading it and trying hypnotherapy to try to remember herself, but as she continues she discovers that maybe some things are better left Forgotten.
What a great story. The classic tale of amnesia after an accident can still bring excitement. You journey along with Kai as she attempts to recall her past. Even as the reader, you don’t have any special insight or know more than she does. Every person she meets or diary entry she reads, you have no idea what revelation that will bring or if that person means her good or harm.
The author’s descriptions of China, Vietnam and Thailand are amazing in and of themselves. You add the plot and this makes a great read that you should definitely check out for yourself.
