Escape (A Billy Harney Thriller Book 3)
Patterson and Ellis do it again in their newest Detective Billy Harney installation, Escape. This book is exciting and suspenseful from cover to cover. When Billy’s partner gets killed while trying to find a serial kidnapper, Billy makes it his mission to find his partner’s killer. The Lieutenant has other ideas for Billy, however, and puts him on a special SOS task force. Billy being Billy gives him lip which doesn’t help the situation. But then, Billy is approached by a teenage girl who tells him that she thinks her father will kill her mother and has proof.
Now, if you are a follower of Patterson, you know that somehow EVERYTHING will connect. I honestly don’t know how he does it. Billy Harney is one of my favorite characters. He’s funny, sarcastic, and exudes charisma even when wasted at the Hole. He’s just a good guy. Patterson takes kidnappers, money launderers, and gang members and throws it all into one big pot for Billy and his law enforcement team to untangle. This book is over four hundred pages, yet I finished it in one day. My eyes were glued to the page, and the story moved very quickly. This series is movie material!
