Dream On is an adorable romance about finding yourself and living your dreams. Cass Walker is a recent law graduate who gets into a car accident that lands her in a coma for six days. During her unconscious stay in the hospital, Cass forms memories of an entire relationship with a man named Devin. Upon awakening, her mother and best friend have to break the news that her three-month relationship with the man of her dreams was just that—a dream.
Fast forward a year and Cass is finally getting back to normal, starting the job she had to initially turn down after her accident at a prestigious Cleveland law firm, living away from her slightly overbearing family, and trying to let go of her memories of Devin. Until one day she happens upon the flesh-and-blood Devin working in his family’s flower shop.
The plot of this story was wonderfully creative, and the characters were so carefully crafted that it definitely felt like I was reading about people I know in my own life. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the semi-predictable nature of the plot twist, but it’s easy to overlook for such a feel-good novel.
