Dangerous Creatures
Dangerous Creatures brings us back to the world of Casters and magic, and the ongoing battle between the light and the dark. Link and Ridley have run off to New York to follow Link’s dreams of success in a band. What Link doesn’t realize is that Ridley already has a drummer gig lined up for him—one involving a dark caster that will hold both their lives in his hands to repay her debt to him.
This spin-off series is a fast and fun ride as two of the most charismatic characters from the Beautiful Creatures world step into the spotlight. Link and Ridley’s constant banter and biting humor is nearly non-stop. When it finally does, we get a previously untouched glimpse into both of their characters, their tumultuous relationship and their deepest insecurities. It’s great to finally get to see a different side of them apart from being the goofy best friend and the sultry siren. Though it’s a pretty straight-forward plot of revenge with just a few slows in pacing after their arrival in NYC, the danger quickly intensifies; it careens toward an explosive climactic scene and a shocking cliffhanger ending. This world has me hooked once again!
