Containment: A Thriller
Imagine the worst possible disease in existence, and then multiply it by the numerous trenches of the dark corners of your mind. That is Containment by Hank Parker. This fast-paced, action-packed, biological thriller will take you through an emotional roller coaster ride. The drama, the tension, the panic–you can feel it all as you tear through the pages of this novel. Highly reminiscent of The Andromeda Strain by Michael Crichton, this thriller brings you to the very edge of scientific breakthrough and psychotic genius. This novel leaves you gasping and breathless until the very last page. Mr. Parker was even kind enough to include a glossary at the back of the book to help explain some of the terms and places that were used in the story. You can tell extensive research was done to ensure realism, which only heightens the fact that this story is all the more believable. I am totally in love with this book, its plot, and its characters. I hope you enjoy it just as much as I have.
After editing at City Book Review for a few years, I took up the duties of editorial assistant, which include assigning books for review, posting reviews to our various sites, and nagging reviewers for things. In my non-nagging time, I’m a gamer, artist, writer, and notorious black thumb/bane of plants. My answer to every book-related question: read Octavia Butler.
