Military veterans face many challenges when they leave the armed services and enter the civilian world, from going to school at an older age than many of their peers, to trying to find a job/career in the competitive job market. These can be tremendous challenges for veterans to overcome, even after they have gone through so much. With many people no longer serving in the military, unlike World War II, veterans are largely a forgotten force, and often ignored by the people around them. They struggle to take what they learned in the military, and show HR people what they know. Like other graduates, finding a job can come down to networking; but how can veterans excel at this difficult topic? The book answers that question.

Even though this is a short book it is full of ideas, hints, and stories that will help not just veterans, but any young college graduate trying to find that first job. Each chapter focuses on a particular area to work on, how to go about it, and then a case study at the end of the chapter. It is well written for the audience it has in mind, and people leaving the military will find it incredibly helpful.
