Bear Witness (An Alaska Untamed Mystery)
Stacie Calder is a tour guide for ClemTours in Alaska. Giving wildlife tours on a boat is her dream job. The only thing she loves more is her dog, Sasha. But when one of the passengers disappears while out at sea, the ship’s captain is blamed. So Stacie decides to try and investigate what happened. After all, she has plenty of time to observe and talk to all the staff and guests aboard the ship. And as a guide, Stacie has access to all areas.
She’s also just met Liam, the Alaska state trooper assigned to the case. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that he’s handsome and willing to listen to Stacie’s ideas about what might have happened on board on the day in question. Could it turn into a romance? And will they find a killer before there’s another incident?
Bear Witness is the first in a new series that will appeal to nature lovers and those who like a little romance in their cozy mysteries. Overall, I felt the story was a little slow-moving and a bit repetitive due to most of the action taking place on the ship, but it did keep me guessing until the end.
