Be with Me: A Novel (Wait for You)
Be With Me chronicles the story of college freshman Teresa and her hot and cold relationship with bad boy Jase. Teresa, nursing a knee injury sustained during a dance performance, is coming to grips with the possible end of her dance career and has enrolled in college, majoring in elementary education. Jase is her older brother Cam’s best friend and has been good friends with Teresa for years, but everything changes with one kiss. While Be With Me is the third book in the Wait For You series, it can be read as a standalone. I have not had the pleasure of reading the other two books, however, I did not find myself lost at all, but rather found myself wanting to go back to read them as well. Ms. Lynn has created complex characters that deal realistically with real world problems such as domestic violence and teenage parenthood. They are likeable and easily relatable and the storyline seems to lack the angst that drives a lot of NA drama. Be With Me is an example of NA writing at its finest and was five stars from cover to cover.
