Leo Perconti is a man under pressure. He is tasked with the sole responsibility of keeping his family in the lap of luxury. He has come to the Palazzo to oversee preparations for his sister’s marriage in order to secure his family’s financial future. While there, he decides to sleep with the random woman that he finds in his suite. That random woman happens to be Karin, a grad student and intern, who happens to have a nasty little habit of sleeping with hotel owners, who have undesirable reputations.

For the first part of At His Service, I rolled my eyes a lot. I thought that Karin was a bit unrealistic, as a character, and made horrible decisions. The second part of the book, I spent wondering why Karin would stay with a person who obviously didn’t value her as a person and a professional. The third part was spent just knowing that this is a relationship that I do not see lasting for long – or if it did last, it would surely be strife with drama.

This book was okay, but it was annoying at some parts. It is not a book I would really recommend to anybody, but if you were really desperate for a romance, this would do in a pinch.
